Workplace and Facilities Management Professional Standards
Our products and services – including our qualifications, membership and training programmes – are underpinned by the Professional Standards which provide a framework covering the core competencies, from entry-level through to strategic level.
As an employer, you can use the Standards as a framework as part of your staff development programme. The standards define:
- The key functions performed by workplace and facilities management practitioners
- The competences that are required to be a competent professional
- The competences required at each career level, from a support role through to a strategic role
- You can utilise the Standards for talent management; for staff development and to analyse your workforce's skills to identify gaps and appropriate development programmes.
Group membership
If you employ multiple workplace and facilities management professionals, your employees can become members, hold post-nominal letters to demonstrate their experience and knowledge, and access all the benefits of individual membership through a group membership scheme.
As an employer, you become an IWFM Investor in Professional Development, which includes access to a range of services to support your workforce in their professional development.
Qualifications
Our qualifications are design for practitioners of the profession and cover the knowledge, skills and competencies required of individuals at every stage of their career. As an employer, you can utilise these to develop your team and improve the efficiency of your organisation.
All our qualifications are designed to be flexible and can be customised to suit the needs of your organisation and its learners. They have clear learning outcomes and assessment criteria to help you track progress, too.
Our qualifications are suitable for an international audience. Although reference is made to key legislation, each country can apply its own legislative requirements.
As an employer, you can partner with a recognised centre to deliver qualifications to your workforce.
