What is an asbestos survey?
The purpose of an Asbestos Management Survey is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspected Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) within the premises. Representative samples are collected by a qualified and experienced asbestos surveyor and analysed for asbestos fibres. The aim of the survey is to provide an assessment of the risk to human health from any existing ACMs, and to advise the client on any necessary steps that must be taken to reduce the risks to an acceptable level.
