‘Modern challenges call for a modern professional body, and an Institute which embodies best practice, setting the example for our members as they confront the extraordinary challenges facing businesses today. Work has changed and so, too, must leaders’ views on work.
‘IWFM’s vision is one “where every workplace delivers” and the changes we are making demonstrate that we are “walking the walk” towards that aspiration.’
These words from the CEO Linda Hausmanis underpin two important changes of address to share.
As Linda says, ‘Work has changed’ and IWFM’s 30-year history is a story of embracing change. When FM’s workplace opportunity arrived with the 2016 report ‘The workplace advantage’ by The Stoddart Review, we engaged members on a vision to embrace workplace as a differentiating factor for FM.
Now, almost five years since this change manifested in BIFM becoming IWFM, workplace has emerged as among the profession’s most profound opportunities to demonstrate its ability to optimise business performance and its key role in informing strategy, providing solutions, and enabling outcomes.
Today, as we prepare to move our Bishop's Stortford workspace from Charringtons House to Thremhall Park, we look forward to a more efficient, economical and flexible approach to work.
