From Manchester with love: North Region Charity Ball celebrates WFM, supports vital causes

Every year, speculation is rife on the theme of our North Region Charity Ball – what better way to shake, not stir, guests than a kidnapping at gunpoint, a mass brawl and a suave spy to save the day? 

On Thursday 4 July, workplace and facilities management (WFM) professionals, their clients and supply partners came together in Manchester to socialise, network and raise money for vital causes, but not before kicking off with scenes out of an action blockbuster. 2024’s theme was James Bond, which attendees described as ‘unforgettable’ and ‘the best ball to date’. Included on the night was a champagne reception, three-course meal, live music, charity raffle and more. 

Lee Cooper, Chair of the IWFM North Region, said: 

‘This year’s ball was hugely successful, with a whopping £13,500 raised in financial donations; additionally, through Advantos, a new heating and hot water system will be installed in a brand-new homeless shelter for veterans. The financial donations will be split between Hull 4 Heroes and IWFM Chair's charity, Mind. I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone for giving, but especially Dom and Sam at Advantos for their substantial contribution, which will make a massive difference.
