Comedian and television personality Hugh Dennis will host the IWFM Awards 2019

For 2019 we will welcome back Hugh Dennis, who last hosted the Awards in 2014.

For those who are not familiar with Hugh: he made his name as one half of comedy double act Punt & Dennis. He and Steve Punt still appear together on Radio 4's 'The Now Show', whilst Hugh is also a team captain on 'Mock the Week' and starred in 'Outnumbered' – the wonderfully inventive semi-improvised BBC sitcom.

Hugh has also previously touched on facilities management in his role as brand manager for Unilever, which he thrived in before entering entertainment. His first performing role was as an impressionist for satirical puppet show 'Spitting Image'.

Hugh has been a guest on many panel shows, from 'QI' to 'Would I Lie to You?' and has gone on to a host of both comic and serious acting roles. His career highs include appearances in 'New Tricks', 'Not Going Out', 'Midsomer Murders' and, most recently, Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s critically acclaimed ‘Fleabag’.
