Launched in early June, our 2024 Skills Survey allows us to unlock new knowledge, address the sector’s challenges and opportunities and enhance professional development. This research helps workplace and facilities management (WFM) to reach its full potential, ultimately enabling organisations to maximise their outcomes.

We’re delighted at the response so far. With little time to complete the survey, closing at 9am on Monday 8 July, we encourage the community to spread it as far as possible among colleagues, as the more insight we gain then the more robust the results will be. We’ve sought to make the Skills Survey as quick and easy as possible to complete, with an average response time of as little as 13 minutes. The survey’s results will inform a range of IWFM’s key initiatives, such as ensuring the Professional Standards Handbook is up to date and relevant for practitioners at every career stage.

The benefits for the community are manifold, including:

  • developing CPD opportunities;
  • informing IWFM’s approach to career progression guidance;
  • feeding into the development of IWFM qualifications;
  • offering insight on additional skills and competencies at difference career stages;
  • and supporting IWFM in increasing sector recognition of skills and understanding.
