As Chair of IWFM’s Veterans in FM Network, I'm delighted to highlight a critical category new for the 2025 IWFM Impact Awards: the Armed Forces Veteran in FM award. This award isn't just about celebrating success; it's about recognising the unique skills, dedication and leadership that veterans bring to our profession. It’s part of our mission to encourage more veterans to consider workplace and facilities management (WFM) as a career of choice.

Veterans possess a wealth of transferable skills – from meticulous planning and project management to problem solving and communication. This award seeks to identify an individual who has seamlessly integrated into the WFM sector and is already making a significant impact.

We encourage entries from all veterans who have entered the WFM profession, regardless of role or level of seniority. It’s free to enter and we welcome nominations from employers, colleagues and peers who recognise a professional’s valuable contributions. At the ceremony, attendees can network, build connections and showcase their achievement on a major platform.

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the outstanding contributions of a veteran in WFM, plus many other talented professionals. The deadline for entries is April 10th, and the awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 9 October at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.

Learn more about the Veteran in FMs Network here and the Awards categories here. Get involved and help us shine a spotlight on the incredible talent within our community.

Good luck, and I look forward to celebrating with you in October!
