Opens 14 April: join our Board as an IWFM NED

As part of our commitment to leadership and professional development, including initiatives like mentoring and the Strategic Leaders Forum, we will soon be seeking two experienced and commercially astute individuals to join our Board as Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) from Monday 14 April. 

This is a significant opportunity to shape the future of the workplace and facilities management (WFM) sector and amplify the voice of our IWFM members. 

Eligible members who are Certified grade or above (held for at least 6 months) will receive an email from UK Engage on 14 April with details on how to self-nominate via an online platform. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders. 

IWFM is committed to a diverse and representative Board, encouraging applications from all members of the community, regardless of background or personal circumstances. 

Key skills being sought: 

• WFM sector knowledge and insight 
• Strategic thinking 
• Commercial and financial competence 
• Experience of senior leadership roles and Board environments

• Update your knowledge on the latest trends influencing IWFM and WFM 
• Access new opportunities through your collaboration with the sector’s standard setter 

NED roles are unremunerated but carry the same statutory duties and responsibilities as Executive Directors. Self-nomination is required, seconded by two members of Member grade or above.

Nominations open: Monday 14 April 

Nominations close: Friday 9 May 

Election Date: Monday 23 June (online voting open until Friday 18 July) 

AGM and NED announcement: Thursday 24 July (virtual attendance available)
