Join the IWFM South West Region on this webinar where guest speaker Dr Nick Bell will use a series of real-life case studies (including prosecutions) to illustrate the impact of early design decisions on the maintainability and operability of buildings.

Nick will explore the logical thought processes that designers should follow to arrive at reasonable, functional solutions. The talk will cover the expectations of professional bodies and the Health and Safety Executive.

Delegates will be equipped with insights and information to ‘trouble shoot’ designs and help influence project teams.

Dr Nick Bell has been working as a health and safety specialist within the built environment since 2006. In that time he has worked with facilities management teams, managing agents, architects, developers, and a host of construction clients, helping them to comply with the various iterations of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. A focus of his work has been helping teams to understand and consider the impact of designs on the whole life cycle of proposed buildings. He has won several awards for his work, speaks at conferences across the globe and has had articles published in numerous journals and professional magazines.
